Small steps. Better decisions.

Write a brief someone else can use

Include your purpose, approximate dimensions, site information, budget constraints and must-haves. Attach source documents when they help explain a constraint. Say which information is confirmed and which is an assumption.

Review a revision

Save the design first. Keep each thread tied to that version, describe the concern and identify the desired outcome. If the direction changes substantially, fork a revision to explore it separately.

Choose an export

Use GLB for a portable 3D concept, STL for a triangle mesh, JSON for structured concept data and CSV for grouped frame quantities. The shopping CSV does not include purchasing allowances, fixings or all building components. Confirm sizes, stock lengths and quantities before ordering.

Understand measurements

The design uses metres and a Z-up coordinate system internally. Display units can change in Settings. Confirm the units shown by the receiving application after importing an export.

Prepare an expert handoff

Collect the exact revision, your brief, site information, open questions and the files relevant to the agreed scope. Ask the reviewer to identify assumptions, unresolved items and the version their conclusion applies to.
